What are you hoping for this new year? Are you focused on new resolutions or just making a general effort to do better. If you are like most people, you created at least one resolution because you were caught up in the hype of thinking you need to do better. The fact of the matter is, you are fine just the way you are. Give yourself a break. Make changes because you want to, not because you feel it's the right time of the year. Now, if you are in the HR or Ethics and Compliance space I'll share with you one tip I learned years ago.
What you put into it, is what you get out of it. What does that mean? It means the proactive work you do engaging your business and employees, the better the results for you as a professional and the organization as a whole. While most spend the month of December decompressing, I use the month to not only plan for 2023, but to create my goals and plan for 2023. I plan for communications, training, initiatives and the goals I have for myself as a professional. You have no idea how accomplished you'll feel once you create and establish this information. You don't need any complicated tools or apps. All you need is a basic Excel file and perhaps a manual calendar as well. The beauty of creating this information is that once you start to build your plan, all the elements in the plan build upon themselves. You can't even imagine how clear your mind will feel. Try it. I dare you. Subscribe to our Q1 Newsletter to learn more.
